4015-17 N. Troy Ave., Chicago, IL

This traditional apartment building housed 10 apartments. The renovation consisted of developing the apartments into (6) 2 bedroom/one bath units, (4) one bedroom/one bath units. Preparing older apartments for the condominium market usually entails redistributing the space within the apartment to include a large bedroom and ensuite bath with a combined living/dining room and open kitchen. This is done through structural changes to the traditional bearing wall system. Upgrades are made throughout including replacing windows, providing each unit with it’s own furnace and air-conditioning, in-unit laundries and custom kitchens.
